Intermediate Process Engineer
Position Summary:
Rangeland Engineering is looking for Intermediate Process Engineers with a professional and innovative mindset on providing services from conceptual design and cost benefit analysis to operations de-bottlenecking, FEED and detailed process engineering.
You will:
Support lead process engineer to ensure successful completion of projects, from conception to commissioning, such as:
o Oilsands and heavy oil processing facilities;
o High temperature froth treatment;
o Froth Separation Unit (FSU), Solvent Recovery Unit (SRU) and Tailing Solvent Recovery Unit TSRU);
o Dilbit, bitumen and solvent handling and storage;
o Oilsands slurries and tailings hydraulics; and
o Conceptual design and evaluation of new process options.
Development of key design documents (Heat & Material Balance, PFD, P&ID and Process Calculations);
Helping cost benefit analysis for small to large sized projects in collaboration with other disciplines; and
Interface with other internal departments, project managers, engineers, clients and vendors during all phases of projects to ensure strong working relationships.
You have:
P.Eng. registration with APEGA or equivalent.
Chemical Engineering or related Engineering degree.
Lead, mentor and coordinate with junior process personnel.
Having skills using Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer and AFT Fathom;
Experience in the design of small (sustainable) to large projects.
Familiarity with design of flare systems and PSV calculations as per API;
