Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Rangelander since 2006
In 2016 we lost our good friend and veteran mechanical engineer. Roger was an invaluable member of Rangeland’s engineering team bringing extensive experience in process implementation, equipment selection and design in Alberta’s oil and gas industry.
Roger worked across the industry bringing more than 50 years of unique full-cycle perspective and experience to every project he supported.
A mechanical engineering expert, Roger was also an experienced design engineer having worked on a variety of projects including sulphur recovery and handling facilities, oil and gas production handling facilities, waterflood plants, compressor stations, flare and incinerator stacks, tankage and pipelines.
Roger loved his work and never retired. He leaves a huge void in our company and in the engineering industry that will be hard to fill. He used the Engineer’s Oath as a template for how he lived his life. An excerpt form the oath: ” I will not henceforth suffer or pass, or be privy to the passing of, Bad Workmanship or Faulty Material in aught that concerns my works before mankind as an Engineer, or in my dealings with my own Soul before my Maker”.
Given the current industrial working environment, it’s not an issue of who is right but rather a question of what is right, practical and safe.
