- Co-generation
- Co-generation facility for a 15 MBPD frac train. Facilities included 2 x 3 MW power units, waste heat recovery for a heat medium system which allowed an inefficient process heater to be mothballed, grid interconnect and backup and commissioning.
- Rangeland has developed an economic model for evaluating co-generation projects.
- Rangeland has a working relationship with Pratt and Whitney plus access to new/used power generation equipment c/w warranty.
- Detailed design of several 0.5 to 2 MW co-gen facilities.
Rangeland was the project manager and prepared detailed engineering for electrical, controls, commissioning and operations support for a cattle waste to power facilities. The Highmark Renewables Facilities, located in Vegreville was designed initially for 7200 cattle/hr (max of 28,000 cattle/hr) which supports a 1.0 MW power plant. REL personnel were also responsible for de-bottlenecking the facility for a period of one year. It is our understanding the technology is successful.
