Steady State Modeling
- Steady state simulation of pipeline developed using HYSYS 2.4.1 software from Hyprotech Ltd.
- Pipeline performance test carried out to evaluate pipe roughness, ground temperature and ground thermal conductivity
- Resulted in less than a 3% error in the prediction of the pipeline pressures
Dynamic Modeling
- Both dynamic volume and mass balance methods are utilized to identify a leak, in order to prevent false alarms
- Dynamic simulation of pipeline developed using HYSYS 2.4.1
- The physical dimensions of the pipeline are incorporated into the simulation, i.e. pipeline dimensions, lengths and elevations
- Dynamic operation simulated for the no leak case and the correct steady state(s) attained
- Test Node for confirming model
